Calling Creative Arts Therapists

I am working on a book about how to start and run a successful private practice. Initially I wrote it from the perspective of a music therapist building a music therapy practice. However, I would like to expand my readership and write for a variety of creative arts therapists and expressive arts therapists.

If you are a music therapist, art therapist, drama therapist, dance therapist, or any type of creative arts therapist, I would like your input on this book. Please post on my blog and let me ask you some questions.

I read some of your postings about your book on the MT listserv. Then today I stumbled upon your blog. I think it’s great that you are writing a book on starting a creative arts private practice. It’s a much needed resource.

Are you familiar with the work of Juliet Austin (www.julietaustin.com)?
She is a counseling psychologist / marketing coach. She has a lot of great ideas. Her expertise is much more generalized in assisting “therapists and holistic practitioners” start private practices. I was thinking she might be a good resource for you in contacting other types of creative art therapists.

I just wanted to pass that on to you. Sounds like things are going well for you.

    Take care,
    Lisa
